Blockbuster Disasters: Storytelling Gone Wrong

Recently, I have seen two blockbuster duds back-to-back: The Creator and Napoleon. Each film had enormous potential but quickly lost the plot, and were examples of underwhelming world building. Don’t even get me started on the flawed character development….

Two videos are going to break down why each film failed its audience. Take these reviews as examples on what not to do as a writer. Storytelling can be difficult, yet rewarding when you truly hone your craft. These films had so much potential too. Sadly they fell flat by making quite a few avoidable creative mistakes.

Los Angeles Vacation

My husband and I recently took a trip to Los Angeles: City of Angels. We went sight-seeing at The Last Bookstore, The Getty Museum, and the Griffith Observatory. We also toured Warner Bros. and even had a frightfully good time at Knott’s Scary Farm.

New Stills from “All Quiet on the Western Front”

Neftlix has presented fresh pictures (as well as information) on their film adaptation of the Erich Maria Remarque famous novel, All Quiet on the Western Front. Published in 1929, the book quickly became a timeless classic about the brutality of war.
